December 01, 2017 - What happens when a bird flies into a plane engine

Each year, bird strikes cost US airlines an estimated $1.2 billion. Only part of those costs are from actual damage. The rest comes from flight delays and cancellations.

One should be aware about the possible consequences of bird strikes. The aviation industry is expected to expand with 50% by 2035. We have to implement efficient technology and techniques to mitigate the problem in long term. At Volacom, we dedicated resource and experience to provide the most effective BIRD COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM (BCAS).

 

November 29, 2017 - Important step towards future bilateral cooperation between KSA and Bulgaria.

King Salman and visiting Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov  held official talks exploring various aspects of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Saudi market is of significant importance to Volacom and we are proud that our BCAS system has been recognized by GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation of KSA) as efficient and appropriate solution to be implemented at Saudi airports.

April 3, 2017 – Expanding our production facilities and capabilities

Volacom has recently completed the last third stage of construction of its new production facilities. Thus, we have ensured sustainable growth of the company, expanding our productions capacity, R&D labs and the vibrant team of professionals.

March 20, 2017 – Volacom will be attending the Dubai Air Show 2017 in November

During the period 12th – 16th of November 2017, Volacom will be attending as an exhibitor the Dubai Air Show. This will be one of the main aviation forums for the year, expected to attract more than 70,000 visitors. Volacom will demonstrate the full spectrum of technologies and solutions for an effective bird and wildlife control at airports. More information for the exact stand number will follow. 

February 21, 2017 – Volacom has released a completely new platform for BCAS monitoring and reporting.

The new platform has been developed for airport applications  and provides variety of useful tools and options, to enable the wildlife teams execute their daily tasks and control the different functions of the all BCAS systems. Furthermore, the operator has the ability to set a preliminary determined programs, which would be executed within a specific timeframe. Additional statistical and reporting capabilities have been add, in order to facilitate an effective habitat management. 

January 5, 2017 – New toy has been developed - Unmanned aerial vehicle - Volacopter LZ-73-PRO

The Volacopter LZ-73-PRO is designed for professional applications. With maximum flight time up to 60 minutes, payload up to 10 kg. and flight range of at least 10km (depending on configuration) Volacopter is a perfect solution for bird/wildlife control for the agriculture, industrial facilities, grape yards, etc. Furthermore, the system could be used for surveillance, perimeter security, photogrammetry and a lot more.
